Happy Trails

Kittridge Canyon Ride April 28th 2007

We had 19 riders and one dog. We did do some cross country.  We had a really good group horses and people.

Here we are pretty much at the top of the Adobe Mountain Range.!

In the back ground you could see the Ruby Moutains and the East Humbolt Range. This Ride was pretty much two track roads.

It was a Beautiful day!  The sky wasn't as clear as normal, but I guess you can't have everything. There was a slight breeze which made the temperature every comfortable

We had a bad burn in this area last year. However it really brought out the green this year!

During our trip we saw two herds of deer. 10 in one bunch and about 6 in the other. We also saw chuckers. We Rode about  ten miles.  We made a detour to the water fall. Unfortunately the water fall wasn't much to look at.   Normally at this time of year the creeks are still flowing good and the water fall is a pretty nice one.

The adventure didn't stop at the end of the ride for Sue and Terry.  A Ride isn't complete until you stop at Arctic Circle for a big thick shake. We had just pass the Hilton Hotel when we got a flat.  Luck would have it that the trend had started to peel off.  So Sue was able to get to Arctic Circle.   Dennis,Rick and Joyce like to go to Nine Beans for their Ice Cream.  We called Dennis  and they came back to change the Tire for us. We have since found where the jack and all of the tools to change a tire is in Sue's truck. Thanks Dennis and Rick for saving us! Oh! Sue and I did get our ice cream! It was great!!! Happy Trails!
