| October 5th 2008 Osino BBQ well we meet at the cattle Guard in Osino then trailer out to the corrals. Our ride wasn't to long about four hours. Dave mets us at the Quakie grove and BBQ hamburgers. Sue brought Chili, Joyce brought her famous fruit salad and Darlene mad a chocolate cake. The weather cool, in fact we cut the ride short due to the chilly winds. As we were getting ready to leave after lunch, Joyce's horse decided he didn't like her poncho she put on for extra warmth. he broke out of his hobbles and started down the road. So Dennis went after him, Dave took Joyce in the pickup to her horse. We waited in the grove long enough not to be a the way of rounding up the horse. We met joyce and Dennis coming back up the road. We had a great time as always. Happy Trails until the next time. |
| October 2008 Secret Starr Trail it started pretty chilly but warmed up real nice. Not much to talk about this ride. All the horses behave, Katie didn't want to lead back so she back several times down the trail. We did run intp some hunters coming off the mountain. We didn't go all the way in to the lunch stop. For one thing we find out there was a hunting camp in there. and we got a late start. |
