Cold Lake Ride
July 2007

We got a few people together and
rode up to the Cold lake area.  All
these years riding up there we never
made it up to the lake. It's a steep
climb and by the time we reach the
place where we eat lunch the horses
are tried. Well Tom,Diana and I decide
to go for it. The trail is fairly good all
the until the 1/8 of a mile.  You must
walk the rest of the way on foot.  We
tie the horses to a tree. We spent
about 15 minutes at the lake because
the clouds started to roll in.
Diana took pictures and then we left.
We met everyone down by the
trailers.. Everyone else was shaded up
under huge trees. Sitting with their feet
in the creek.

Monday morning found Katie VERY
Sore. She had me a little worry, but
Two days later she is much better.
Happy trails to all !!

Foot Note:
Will not be going again to the lake. Its very
pretty but to tough on the horses.

Cold Lake 2008 October

As you can see the colors were very
pretty.  We were surprise that the trees
still had leaves.  The day started out
with a good spook.  Three out of the
five horses thought there was a monster
lurking  in the brushes by the gate.
Darlene Lost  a easy boot right at the
begin.  She found it on the way back.
I decided to bring hot dogs to roast. I
not much of a hot dog fan but , There is
nothing like a hot dog cooked on a open
fire.
Dennis took a short nap after lunch.  We
got a late start that morning so couldn't
stay long at the lunch stop.
Happy Trails until Next time!
